In conjunction with the forthcoming generation change at the echoraum - the co-founder and current director Werner Korn will hand over the agenda to a new leading team (Sara Zlanabitnig and Alisa Beck) - the 16th edition of shut up and listen! bears the motto Best agers.

On four festivals days, there will be concerts, performances, round tables, exhibitions resp. film and video presentations. This includes video works by the artists Katarina Balunova and Rosa Roedelius as well as the comprehensive poster exhibition 33 years of echoraum, compiled by Werner Korn. We also recognize Dieter Kaufmann und Hans‑Joachim Roedelius, two outstanding personalities and composers who inspired generations of younger artists, with two intergenerational evenings, including contributions by family members and affiliated musicians. The radio art pioneer Heidi Grundmann will be honored with a radiophonic work and a film documentary.
