Performance
mit Damjan Jovičin (Konzept, Klavier und Schlagwerk) | Damjan Marković (E-Gitarre und Schlagwerk) | Aleksandar Jakovljević (Bassgitarre und Schlagwerk)
Metacounterpoint is a performance result of studying various music sequences. In this trio format artists played bass, piano, guitar, gamelan, kolintang and other percussion instruments and studied different sequences in music, deconstructing their rhythm, melody and basic elements in order to master and develop structure in a more personal way. The urge to understand the encoded counterpoint in the Indonesian, African and funk music made this ensemble learn through repetition and deconstruction, so that the complex counterpointal action starts to reflect in the corporeal and body automatisms.
